Mango quartz is a scarce variety of quartz that was recently discovered in the region of boyaca, columbia. The unearthed specimens contain a completely natural orangish-yellow pigment that is located in the crystals' points. Mango quartz is a rare crystal created through a group of minerals and natural processes exactly like clear quartz.

The main difference is the orange colour which can come from two different minerals, halloysite or humboldtine. Clusters formations are unique for every piece. Crystal points fan out in a group of small and thin dense quartz points in regions of the cluster.
