This exquisite himalayan quartz is from a new find in the himalayan mountains of india. Our source for these rare crystals are fourth generation miners (since 1942) who gather these crystals ethically by hand at altitudes of 12,000 feet (and sometimes up to 18,000 feet) with no power tools or explosives.
Part of the reason for this is the desire to honor the mountain and the land, and partially it is because the areas where they are mined are very inaccessible for machinery and heavy tools. It is said that mining them this way allows them to retain their gentle energy, which is very highly vibrational and loving. Himalayan quartz carries one of the purest spiritual energies of any crystal, and they are known for having amazing water-clear (optical) clarity and luster. Many crystals from this find also have inclusions of deep green chlorite, bringing a wonderful property of purification, heart healing and a connection to nature spirits. It creates a beautiful aesthetic presentation as the colors contrast so beautifully. The quartz itself has nice "bar code" cathedralization on its broad sides. Another interesting and unique characteristic of this crystal is the self-healed termination, which most likely broke while still in the pocket of the earth, due to shifting tectonic plates, and healed itself over with a frosting of mossy green chlorite.
