Luxurious Faceted Czech moldavite from locality RADOMILICE, found in 2021, size 16.5x12.2x7.1 mm, 7.6 carats, amazing light green color

The colors light green and water-green are very typical for the radomilice locality. These colors are rarer and in high demand. It has an open tiny bubble on the back, which doesn't detract from its beauty at all.

The usability of moldavites during grinding is about 15% for calibrated stones. For fantasy cut 30 - 35%. In the case of a fantasy cut, each piece is original. Moldavites are expensive in themselves. Faceting therefore greatly increases their price.

So watch out for cheap faceted moldavites (probably it will be ordinary glass). Only faceteds, polishing and tumbling will reveal the hidden beauty of moldavites.

Moldavites usually have many more bubbles than ordinary glass (but some are completely bubble-free). More than 14 million years old air is hidden in these bubbles.
