Rutilated Quartz lens, big Rutilated Quartz lens, Brazilian Rutilated Quartz

I have a soft spot for rutilated quartz. This piece is so pretty. It is one of the biggest lenses i have ever acquired.

This is a heavy piece. The bottom is not perfectly flat. The strands are a gorgeous copper color, and this piece has many rutile strands. The bottom of the lens is unpolished it has iron oxide inclusions and tons of rainbow inclusions.

Dimensions: 3.78 x 3.46 x 1.81. Weight: 1 lb 5.8 ozs. Rutile is named after rutilus which is the latin word for red.

Rutilated quartz can vary from silver, copper, gold , red or black. What makes rutilated quartz special is it encourages spiritual growth, it is said to illuminate the soul. What else is rutilated quartz good for.
