Very Rare Gem Natural Unheated Blue, Green and Purple Tanzanite Crystal with Diopside 2.4g Trichroic tanzanite Pleochroism Rainbows
A very rare natural, unheated, gem tricolour tanzanite crystal. This tanzanite has really unusual colouring, with shades of cerulean blue, lavender purple, and an rare emerald green core under natural light, and strong pleochroism under led light showing hues of blue, violet, pink, and gold. It also features small gem diopside crystals at the base, subtle shimmering rainbows and impeccable lustre and clarity.
A stunning, unique jewel, and a true rarity. Tanzanite is rarer than diamonds, and found only in the east african state of tanzania in a volcanic basin called merlani. The mining area for this stone is just under 10 square miles, and the gem was formed roughly 585 million years ago at the same time the african rift valley was formed. Unlike the diamond which is plentiful in africa and russia, tanzanite mines are predicted to run dry roughly around 2022, giving this gem all the more desire and intrigue.
